Project Overview

The project aims to create a multidisciplinary research team (RO-MD) dedicated to integrating innovative green technologies for greenhouse sustainable farming. By combining Plasma-Activated Water (PAW) with PV/PVT systems with integrated solar radiation dispersion system, the project intends to enhance biomass production and promote eco-friendly practices in greenhouse farming while reduces dependency on unsustainable energy sources. By using PAW irrigation powered by PV will enhance crop growth while ensuring even solar radiation distribution. The proposed solution facilitates the distribution of solar radiation to the soil while simultaneously generating energy. By integrating PAW application, the project aims to minimize environmental impact. To assess PV performance, IC-MPPT and LCPV algorithms will be applied. IoT- sensor network will collect data for cloud-based data analytics. PAR sensors will ensure optimal photosynthetic conditions for plants. This collaboration aims to integrate TUIASI team's expertise in renewable energy and NTP technology with the UTM team's focus on PV/PVT systems, irrigation, and microclimate control for sustainable farming. Young researchers will gain valuable experience in advanced technologies, interdisciplinary collaboration, and opportunities for publication and networking, enhancing their technical and research skills. Planned research visits for UTM researchers will provide access to specialized facilities.

Through visits, workshops, and collaborative research, the project will strengthen UTM researchers’ scientific capacity in sustainable farming and renewable energy systems.
